 Emperor Duc Duc reigned just three days--from July 20th 1883 to the 23rd of July. His tomb is perhaps the smallest and least ambitious of the tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, but it possesses a special charm all its own. Unfortunately, it is fairly neglected, and without restoration it is likely to be irreparably damaged as a number
of its structures are in a precarious state. In the rainy weather in which it was photographed here, it exhibits a sublime and somber beauty.
